Prayer for God’s Mercy upon the Nation.

For the choir director. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.

1 O Lord, You showed afavor to Your land;
You
Or restore the fortunes
,
crestored the captivity of Jacob.
2You dforgave the iniquity of Your people;
You ecovered all their sin.
Selah may mean: Pause, Crescendo or Musical interlude
Selah.
3You gwithdrew all Your fury;
You hturned away from Your burning anger.

4 iRestore us, O God of our salvation,
And jcause Your indignation toward us to cease.
5Will kYou be angry with us forever?
Will You prolong Your anger to
Lit generation and generation
all generations?
6Will You not Yourself
Or bring to life
,
nrevive us again,
That Your people may orejoice in You?
7Show us Your lovingkindness, O Lord,
And pgrant us Your salvation.

8
Or Let me hear
I will hear what God the Lord will say;
For He will rspeak peace to His people,
Lit even to
to His godly ones;
But let them not tturn back to
Or stupidity
folly.
9Surely vHis salvation is near to those who
Or reverence
fear Him,
That xglory may dwell in our land.
10 yLovingkindness and
Or faithfulness
truth have met together;
aaRighteousness and peace have kissed each other.
11
Or Faithfulness
Truth acsprings from the earth,
And righteousness looks down from heaven.
12Indeed, adthe Lord will give what is good,
And our aeland will yield its produce.
13 afRighteousness will go before Him
And will make His footsteps into a way.
